Refunds & Returns: Protecting the Voyage

At Cacao Voyage, we curate the world's finest artisanal chocolates, traveling from the volcanic soils of Panama, the lush rainforests of Belize, and the sun-drenched estates of Hawaii. Because these are fresh, perishable delicacies crafted with precision, our refund and return policy is designed to ensure you receive every bar in pristine condition while respecting the delicate nature of our global supply chain.
General Returns & Exchanges
Due to the hygienic and perishable nature of food products, Cacao Voyage does not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, preference, or unopened items. Once a package leaves our curated facility, we cannot verify its storage conditions, and therefore cannot resell or redistribute these precious goods from our partners in Panama, Belize, and Hawaii. We do, however, offer exchanges for damaged items as outlined below.
Damaged or Defective Orders
Your journey with our chocolates should be flawless. If your order arrives damaged, melted (when Summer Shipping was correctly selected), or if there is a manufacturing defect:

Notify Us Immediately: Please contact our Concierge Team within 48 hours of delivery at
Concierge@CacaoVoyage.com. - Provide Evidence: Include your order number and clear photos of the damaged product and the packaging.
- Resolution: Upon review, we will promptly issue a full refund or dispatch a replacement shipment at no additional cost to you. We stand behind the quality of every chocolate product we source from our partner farms.
Temperature Damage & Mandatory Summer Shipping
Chocolate is a living art form, sensitive to heat. To preserve the perfect snap, texture, and flavor profile of our selections from Panama, Belize, and Hawaii:
- Mandatory Protection: During warm months (May 1st through October 31st), the Summer Shipping option (featuring insulated packaging and gel ice packs) is required for all orders, regardless of destination.
- Liability & No Refund Policy: If an order is placed during this period without selecting Summer Shipping, and the chocolate arrives melted, bloomed, or compromised due to heat, Cacao Voyage cannot offer a refund or replacement. The integrity of these delicate products relies entirely on the temperature-controlled transit you selected. We kindly urge you to choose this essential protection to safeguard your luxury experience.
International Shipping Considerations
We are honored to ship our treasures globally. However, please note that once a package crosses international borders, transit times and handling may vary by carrier and local customs.
- Customs & Duties: Any import duties, taxes, or customs fees are the responsibility of the recipient. Cacao Voyage is not liable for delays or confiscation caused by customs authorities.
- Damaged in Transit: If your international order arrives damaged, please follow the "Damaged or Defective Orders" procedure above within 48 hours. We will work diligently with the carrier and our logistics partners to resolve the issue, provided the Summer Shipping protocol was followed where applicable.
Incorrect Addresses
Your chocolate's voyage begins with the right destination. Please double-check your shipping address at checkout.
- Returned Packages: If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by you, we are unable to offer a refund.
- Reshipment: However, we are happy to resend your order once a correct address is confirmed; please note that new shipping charges will apply for the reshipment. For international orders, additional duties may also apply upon reshipment.
